Introduction

The CILEX or CPQ is flexible work based training programme that allows you to become a UK qualified lawyer without traditional law degree route. There are three stages of CPQ which are as Foundation Stage, Advanced Stage and Professional Stage. The career path open to many interesting opportunities such as Legal Executive, paralegal etc. Through our online tuition programme you can study while in work or in your city. The CPQ tuition programme at BCPS London College of Law costs only 35% as compared to other institutions.

What required to enrol?

Entry requirements for CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) courses depend on the specific stage or qualification level you want to study.

Foundation Stage: Open to everyone with no formal entry requirements, though a minimum of 4 GCSEs (grades C or above, including English) or equivalent is recommended.

Advanced Stage: Requires completion of the CPQ Foundation stage.

Professional Stage: Open to CILEX Advanced Paralegals, trainee CILEX lawyers, or those who have finished vocational solicitor/barrister training.
Level 3 (Certificate/Diploma): Open to all learners with no formal entry requirements, though 4 GCSEs including English are recommended.
Level 6 Diploma: Usually requires completion of the CILEX Level 3 Diploma or an exemption via a qualifying law degree (LLB) or GDL.
Graduate Fast-Track / CGQ: Requires an LLB Law degree, a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), or specific solicitor qualifications (like the LPC or BPC), along with active CILEX membership.

Entry into the CILEX Level 7 course known as the CPQ Professional Stage or the Level 7 Chartered Legal Executive Litigator and Advocate course requires completion of the previous CPQ Advanced stage, an accredited law degree (via the CILEX Graduate Route/CGQ), or recognized vocational legal training like the LPC or BPC.

Foundation Stage (Paralegal Level)

Professional Stage (Chartered Legal Executive Level)

- Practical portfolio and qualifying employment experience.
